New Pennant Sets!!

If you're like me, you're dreaming of what your classroom décor and setup will be like for back to school.  Are you getting ready yet?  Pinning ideas?

If you are, you know that pennants are a fun way to top your bulletin boards and this year I've designed some new pennant sets I know you will love as much as I do!

Introducing my Blackline Pennant Sets!  Blackline sets are designed in black & white so that you can print them out onto any color paper or card stock you desire.

Now you can print onto multiple color papers to create a variety of colors, or match your classroom décor or theme!

Blackline Pennants are now available in Stripes and Polka Dots.  They include letters A-Z and a-z (upper & lower case), numbers 0-9, and 8 symbols (exclamation mark, question mark, period, apostrophe, ampersand, hyphen, hashtag, and @.

Have fun creating customized banners for your classroom!  I even use banners for my home décor during the holidays!

New Birthday Sets!!

New Birthday Sets are now available in my TPT shop.  Earlier this week I posted about my Blue & Red set.  Now I also have a Brights Set.

And - I'm really excited about this - new Blackline sets!!!

Pennants for your home!

I just finished decorating my entry way table for Halloween.  Well, that's not actually true... I decorated it 2 weekends ago (I got a little excited), but today I put the finishing touch on it!

A pennant banner!

I use these all the time in my classroom.  See here and here, but I'm so excited about the idea of also using them at home!

I went with the Orange Chevron set, but wouldn't these look so cute for Halloween in Purple Chevron, or a combination of the two?  And I love to be able to incorporate punctuation.  What kind of Boo! doesn't have an exclamation point, right?

I'm already dreaming about Thanksgiving and Christmas banners for the fireplace!  I hope this inspires you to try banners in your own home.

Yay for Pennants!

Loving how my writing center is starting to come together.  This year I moved it to a new location in my classroom.  I used to have a bulletin board in the old location, but over here I only have a boring beige wall.  (Yawn...)

So, I decided to create a bulletin board on the wall to sort of frame the space.  Today, I added a pennant and I love, love, love how it turned out.

Here's a tip for cutting pennants, and anything else really.  For 15 years I taught rubber stamping, card making, and paper crafting and this simple, little tip makes a big difference in your projects.  Tip:  Leave a white border space around your pieces.  It makes it easier to cut because you don't have to trim precisely on the edge.  The white border creates a frame and compliments the projects. 

 

These pennant banners are one of many patterns/colors available in my TPT shop.  The set includes:

-Upper and Lower Case alphabet

-Numbers 0-9

-Symbols (period, question mark, exclamation mark, hyphen, ampersand, and apostrophe)

 

With the symbols included, the possibilities are endless.  See how I used an exclamation mark on mine?

Throwback Thursday

Happy Thursday!  Once again I am playing along with a linky party hosted by Freebielicious.  Today's topic?  Throwback Thursday!

This throwback seems so long ago, but, you know, we're sort of half way around the calendar to winter again, aren't we?  Sigh...


This picture is a pretty winter scene outside my classroom window.  I say pretty now, but I'm pretty sure I was dreaming of summer, know what I mean?

Pennant Banners

If you're like me, your summer days are dwindling and you're busy planning and setting up your classroom.  This summer I created some pennant banners for my room to use on my bulletin boards.

This banner tops off my word wall.  I made this set in Red Polka Dot to match my room colors.  I'm thinking I'm going to add a bow where the two ribbons meet in the middle.

I plan on using these pennants for other bulletin boards in my room as well.  The ideas are endless:
"welcome"
"daily 5"
"math focus wall"
"mrs. yourname's class"
"reading & phonics"
"who's in 1st grade?"

Notice the punctuation I used in those examples?  Periods, hyphens, apostrophes, ampersands, commas, and question marks are included. a-z alphabet and numbers 0-9 also included.
